What to expect
Dear Thurston County Democrats,
Our next Central Committee meeting will be held Monday, October 26th, at 7:00 p.m., just eight days before the November 3rd General Election.
This will be our final Central Committee meeting before Election Day, and we hope you'll make every effort to join us.
We've spent months supporting candidates, organizing volunteers, and preparing for this election. Now, with ballots arriving across Washington, it's time to bring that work home.
This month's meeting will place special emphasis on our candidates, the final days of coordinated campaigning, and the work ahead for Thurston County Democrats as we prepare to enter a new organizational term.

A Final Call to Action
We'll welcome our Democratic candidates and campaign representatives for an extended opportunity to address the membership for a final time before the election. We want to hear their closing messages, their priorities for these final days, and where our members can make the greatest difference before Election Day.
Thurston Super Canvass: Saturday, October 24
10:00 a.m. | Wonderwood Park
5304 32nd Ave SE, Lacey
The Thurston Super Canvass will bring together candidates and volunteers from the 2nd, 22nd, and 35th Legislative Districts, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland's team, Washington State Democratic Party field organizers, and local Democratic leadership.
We'll kick things off with coffee, donuts, and a few energizing words from a guest speaker before heading into our neighborhoods to share election information, remind voters to return their ballots, and help drive turnout.
No experience necessary. Just show up ready to walk, knock, and talk! Printed walking lists will be available for every precinct, so you don't need to worry about preparing anything in advance.
With Election Day just around the corner, this is one of our last big opportunities to make a difference together. Come out, bring a friend, and help us finish strong!
Election Night Celebration: Save the Date!
Tuesday, November 3 | Altitude 15, Downtown Olympia
Mark your calendars! Join your fellow Democrats on Election Night as we come together to watch the results, celebrate the hard work of our candidates and volunteers, and spend the evening with friends and neighbors.
After months of campaigning, organizing, and knocking doors, we're looking forward to bringing everyone together for a well-earned evening of camaraderie and community.
Event times and RSVP information will be announced very soon. For now, save the date!
Preparing for Reorganization
Following the General Election, Democratic Party organizations across Washington will begin the biennial reorganization process.
We'll begin discussing preparations for TCD's upcoming reorganization meeting, including officer elections, organizational procedures, and the work necessary to ensure a smooth transition into the next term.
Ad Hoc Bylaws Review Committee: Call for Volunteers
As we prepare for TCD's upcoming reorganization, our newly established Ad Hoc Bylaws Review Committee will begin reviewing our governing documents and developing recommendations to improve the organization's structure, procedures, and effectiveness.
The committee has an Executive Board-confirmed chair and will be organizing a small working group to carry out this review.
We're inviting interested members to express their interest in serving. Working group positions will be limited at the discretion of the committee chair to ensure the committee can operate efficiently, but all members will have the opportunity to submit suggestions and propose changes for consideration.
If you're interested, please contact Justin Stang at [email protected] by October 28 with a brief note about your interest.
Sustaining Our Organization and Planning the Year Ahead
We'll discuss fundraising needs related to maintaining our office space, review the remaining organizational calendar for 2026, and begin preparing for the transition into the new year.
We'll also conduct our regular organizational business, including officer and committee reports and other properly presented business.
We've worked hard to get to this moment, and now it's time to see that work through. Every conversation with a neighbor, every door knocked, and every ballot returned matters. These final days are our opportunity to make a real difference in the communities we call home.
And while Election Day marks the end of this campaign, it doesn't mark the end of our work together. We have an organization to strengthen, a community to serve, and plenty worth fighting for in the years ahead.
Let's finish strong, together.
We hope to see you on October 26!
In solidarity,
Thurston County Democrats
