What does a PCO actually do?
The role is not about having every answer. It is about becoming a dependable connection between your neighbors, your precinct, and the local Democratic organization.
Build relationships
Meet Democratic neighbors, welcome new participants, and maintain a trusted local presence beyond election season.
Strengthen participation
Help people find meetings, volunteer opportunities, useful civic information, and meaningful ways to contribute.
Represent the precinct
Bring your neighborhood’s perspective into TCD and participate in the decisions entrusted to the Central Committee.

Attend and vote
Participate in Central Committee meetings and help make informed decisions on the organization’s direction and responsibilities.

Help neighbors move from curiosity into meetings, volunteer work, membership, leadership, or other forms of civic participation.
Support organizing

PCO service is tied to a particular precinct. A PCO represents that neighborhood within TCD and serves as part of the Central Committee.

Membership & PCO Committee volunteers welcome sign-ups, support orientation and training, recruit PCOs, maintain membership systems, and help people find their place in the organization.

TCD will verify the applicant’s precinct and explain the formal process.
