What is a PCO?
Precinct Committee Officers (PCOs) are essential to the success of the Democratic Party. They play a key role in building strong, engaged communities and electing Democratic candidates. PCO responsibilities include:
- Connecting with neighbors and understanding the issues impacting their communities.
- Educating undecided or swing voters about Democratic values and policies.
- Ensuring Democrats are registered to vote.
- Encouraging voters to mail in their ballots.
These efforts lead to precinct-level victories and contribute directly to electing Democratic candidates. PCOs also serve as voting members of the Thurston County Democrats, helping shape the direction of our local party and its priorities.
