The public is cordially invited to a town meeting on “Low Impact Development: Shelter from the Storm,” on Thursday, January 17 at the LIncoln Elementary School Library, 213 21st Avenue S.E. (just off Capitol Way). The major speaker will be engineer/hydrologist Tom Holz, who will discuss and illustrate building design that results in near-zero runoff of stormwater. He will also discuss how low impact development can mitigate flood damage to human communities and natural habitat.
A speaker from Thurston County will address permitting and regulatory issues relating to low impact development.
Q & A will follow the presentation.
